Andrew & Nicole had dreamt of having a fairytale woodland wedding and Eden Leisure Village was the perfect setting to bring that dream to life.
Andrew & Nicole reminisce:
What first attracted you to your wedding venue and what made you decide that it would be perfect for your special day?
From the second we walked into Eden we knew it was special. It was so very relaxed and peaceful. It was idyllic and exactly what we had in mind. A beautiful space that we could put our own stamp and personalisation on. The woodland setting was like a fairytale for us. It was more than we could have dreamed of. We felt at home.
Can you tell me about your theme if you had one, the inspiration behind it and how you incorporated it into your wedding?
Our theme was an autumnal and rustic feel. We love the outdoors and are at our happiest outside with our dogs in the woods. We tried to incorporate this whenever we could. Andrew’s aunty is an award winning florist at Trudi Todd flowers and they really understood our vision for an autumnal feel and absolutely brought our vision to life with the flower arrangements and décor.
How did your venue go above and beyond in ensuring everything was perfect on the day?
Janet and Dez are just wonderful people. Absolutely nothing was a bother or an issue. Janet replied to our emails from holiday and into the small hours of the night. Dez was always available, lending a helping hand and ensuring everything was in tip top shape for us. They are both incredibly calming people. They put us at ease through the entire process. On the big day itself they never sat still, ensuring everything ran smoothly and taking all the pressure off us. It was due to the hard work of Janet and Dez that we were able to totally relax and thoroughly enjoy our day!
Who was your chosen Photographer and why did you choose them?
Stephen McCluskey Photography. Nicole found his work on Instagram and loved his attention to detail. His bold and striking images looked fantastic. Stephen was absolutely incredible on our day. He got every shot we needed and we didn’t feel harassed or pressured. He was amazing at herding the crowds to get the pictures required. Our images are absolutely incredible and it’s no wonder he won the confetti award for best wedding photographer!
If you could pick one word to describe your wedding, what would it be and why?
Fairytale. Cliché we know, but it truly was. This was the wedding we had always dreamed of but never thought would be attainable. From the weather being perfect, to our idillic setting surrounded by all our loved ones, we never thought it could have been as wonderful and perfect as it was. It really was the best day of our lives, everything was absolutely spot on from start to finish.
