Immersed in Nature at Eden Leisure Village

Hollie & Iain had the most perfect wedding day at Eden Leisure Village, set in stunning natural surroundings with a laid back feel.

Hollie & Iain reminisce:

Can you tell me about your theme if you had one, the inspiration behind it and how you incorporated it into your wedding? The beauty of Eden as a venue is that you really don’t need a theme or to fill the venue with copious amounts of decor; the beautiful scenery and setting speak for themselves hence why after just one viewing (we didn’t view anywhere else) we knew it was our venue!
We would therefore say our theme was one of simplicity; as a couple we like neutral colours hence our selection of beige kilts and ivory bridesmaid dresses with minimal flowers.

What first drew you to your wedding venue? We were looking for a laid-back venue; one that would allow us to have exclusive use but not be tied to wedding packages; Eden completely delivered.
We would both agree that the pictures of Eden do not do it justice therefore when we visited we were taken aback by how amazing the setting is.

What was the atmosphere like on the big day? Relaxed and fun – our closest family and friends all in one place. We really couldn’t have asked for more – everyone had a great day and were so complimentary of the venue and staff.

How did your chosen venue go above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect? Janet and Des are honestly the nicest couple. From stepping in to help with a van accident the day before (don’t worry, no one was hurt – just a van door and garden wall to replace…!) to capturing moments on film, to almost feeling like they were two of our guests (it’s so lovely to see they feature in many of our guests’ photos – and appear to be having as much fun as everyone else!)….everyone was on first name terms with them when we checked-out on the Sunday.

Who was your chosen Photographer and why did you choose them? The Whole Picture was our photographer on the day; we chose Bethany as we knew she was really familiar with the venue and the surroundings. She also had lots of family shoots in her portfolio; as parents to a toddler we needed someone who could convince our little boy that being in pictures is fun – Bethany passed this brief with flying colours!

What was the most memorable part of your day? There was not one “stand out” moment – for us the whole experience was stand out; it was perfect!
