The personal touch at Crear

Anne & Jason spent plenty of time deciding upon their wedding venue and Crear didn’t disappoint.

Anne & Jason reminisce:

How long were you looking for your wedding venue and what made you choose them? We were engaged in late May 2023 and didn’t set a date at our venue, Crear, until early autumn 2023. We were looking that whole time! We got brochures from all the local venues in Glasgow, and even slightly further afield in Stirling. We viewed one or two, but just didn’t feel they had personalised touches. That’s what set Crear apart from the rest. We went for our viewing and Kate answered the door as though we were family coming home for the holidays! Crear made it clear we could personalise any of their packages with no extra stress. They held our hands the whole way, and not once made us feel as though we were asking too much. Their inclusive packages were something that really drew us to them. Getting so much out of florals/decor with Agnes of Blooming Wild, and a personalised four course menu from Craig were huge factors in our decision to choose Crear.

How did your venue assist in the planning for your big day and how was the overall planning experience? Julie was an incredible help in the lead up to our big day. She was so knowledgeable of the area for accommodation and was supportive in hearing any stressors we may have had along the way. We added the elopement cottage onto our package, and had a very specific vision for our menu. This was dealt with care and assistance. Another worry for us was cake storage and display! Crear took care of that for us without us even noticing. Our cake was stored carefully, and on the day displayed under a beautiful spotlight.

On the big day, how did your wedding coordinator ensure all ran smoothly? Julie was so good on the big day, you hardly noticed her, if at all! We didn’t notice anything stressful, and all the different parts of the day flowed with ease. We had guests cancel on the day, and before you knew it the chairs were reorganised so no one would have known! Then Iona came in towards the end of the meal, she checked to make sure we were happy and didn’t need anything, and again the rest of the night flowed utterly seamlessly. The whole Crear team knows so well what they’re doing, we had nothing to worry about!

Who was your chosen Photographer and why did you choose them? Euan Robertson was our incredible photographer! He was so funny, and so relaxed. What a charm he brought to our day. He was the top of our list and we were so overjoyed he was present for our day. He got on so well with the wedding parties, and took some stunning pictures without being too invasive. We felt immediately at ease with him. We’d love to also give a special mention to the equally talented James of Strangeworx Wedding films!
