at Cottiers, Glasgow

I had the pleasure of getting to know Steffina and Atanas before their wedding day, having photographed their engagement shoot earlier in the year. From the very beginning, it was so clear just how much joy and love these two share. They are one of those wonderfully infectious couples who are completely themselves, full of laughter, warmth and an incredible sense of fun. So when their wedding day finally arrived, I already knew it was going to be something special.
When Steffina and Atanas, affectionately known as Nasko, chose Cottiers in Glasgow as the setting for their June wedding, they created a day that felt every bit as magical as it was deeply personal. With its beautiful character and atmospheric charm, Cottiers provided the perfect backdrop for a celebration filled with celestial touches, meaningful details and moments that will stay with everyone who was there.
From the very beginning, their wedding had a wonderfully considered feel. Celestial inspired invitations set the tone for the day, while gorgeous styling and personal touches brought their personalities and story into every corner. Nothing felt overly traditional or impersonal. Instead, every detail felt like a reflection of Steffina and Nasko and the life they are building together.
Their ceremony, beautifully led by Ronit, was filled with warmth, emotion and plenty of happy tears. Steffina and Nasko’s heartfelt vows were particularly unforgettable, with words so sincere that there wasn’t a dry eye in the room, myself included, behind the camera. It was one of those rare moments where, despite being there to document the day, I couldn’t help but feel completely swept up in it too.
And then came the celebration.
To kick off the evening festivities, Steffina and Nasko embraced one of their Bulgarian traditions with a Horo folk dance. What began with the couple quickly became a room wide celebration, as guests linked hands and joined the dance, weaving their way around the entire room together. It was joyful, energetic and wonderfully inclusive, the kind of moment that perfectly captured the spirit of their day.
From the emotional intimacy of their vows to the infectious energy of the Horo, Steffina and Nasko’s wedding was a beautiful balance of romance, culture, personality and celebration. A day filled with love, laughter and the people who matter most, and one that I felt incredibly lucky to photograph.
